I'm Circus and Inga Ross were slow to begin.
I'm Circus and Lightning Ben collided soon after the start, checking I'm Circus. I'm Circus and Inga Ross collided approaching the first turn. Terrigal Tornado and Sarah Smirnoff collided on the first turn, checking Terrigal Tornado. I'm Circus and Treble Clef collided on the first turn. Terrigal Tornado and Inga Ross collided approaching the home turn. I'm Circus and Terrigal Tornado collided on the home turn. Lightning Ben failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight. Master Cosmic and Lightning Ben collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Treherne, the trainer of the greyhound Lightning Ben regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Lightning Ben was vetted following the event and revetted following race 10. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Lightning Ben with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Treherne pleaded guilty to the charge, Lightning Ben was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
