Steward's Report

No More Sisco, Banjo Fozz and Cruising Betty were slow to begin.

Little Fernando, Treble Clef and Banjo Fozz collided on the first turn checking Little Fernano and Banjo Fozz.  Cruising Betty and Fawn Secrets collided entering the home straight checking Fawn Secrets. Little Fernando, Treble Clef and Banjo Fozz raced wide in the home straight. Banjo Fozz eased in the home straight and collided with Treble Clef.  Banjo Fozz and Treble Clef collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr B Fothergill, the trainer of the greyhound Banjo Fozz regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Banjo Fozz was vetted following the event and re- vetted following race six.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Banjo Fozz with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Fothergill pleaded guilty to the charge, Banjo Fozz was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
