A planned pre-race sample was not taken from Got Some Zip due to the late finish of kennelling, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Got Some Zip, Rocky's Kayo and Super Attitude were slow to begin.  Lightfoot Lass and Rocky's Kayo collided on the first turn.  Lightfoot Lass galloped on Macleod on the first turn checking Lightfoot Lass and severely checking Macleod which fell.  Got Some Zip and Kissem collided on the home turn.

Got Some Zip was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Macleod was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a compound fracture of the right tibia and fibula and was humanely euthanised.

Iona Roby was a late scratching at 3:03pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Chella.

Ballistic Lass and Soda Maxi were slow to begin.  Brindle Delight and White Fernando collided on the first turn.  White Fernando and Dr. Chella crossed out on the second turn and raced wide.  Ballistic Lass and Dr. Chella collided on the home turn checking Dr. Chella and severely checking Soda Maxi.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lil' Miss Willow.

Lil' Miss Willow and Ya Ya Ya were slow to begin.  Miss Tatts and Double Attitude collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Tatts.  Goodbye Goldie, Final Chimes and Double Attitude collided approaching the first turn checking Final Chimes.  Goodbye Goldie, Double Attitude and Sweet Gabriella collided on the first turn checking Double Attitude and Sweet Gabriella.  Miss Tatts was checked off Lil' Miss Willow on the third turn severely checking Miss Tatts.  Miss Tatts and Fabulous Cash collided approaching the home turn checking Miss Tatts.  Fabulous Cash was checked off Final Chimes on the home turn.

Mac Daddy and Miss Klara were quick to begin.  Sharon's Gold, Crime Scene and Blueflash Lenny were slow to begin.  Wolfie's Squeeze, Mac Daddy and Miss Klara collided soon after the start checking Wolfie's Squeeze.  Our Rocket clipped the heels of Wolfie's Squeeze on the first turn.  Mac Daddy, Miss Klara and Woody's My Name collided approaching the second turn checking Miss Klara.  Woody's My Name lost ground approaching the home turn.  Crime Scene and Wolfie's Squeeze collided approaching the home turn checking Crime Scene, Wolfie's Squeeze and Our Rocket.  Crime Scene galloped on Wolfie's Squeeze approaching the home turn checking Crime Scene.  Woody's My Name and Blueflash Lenny collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Woody's My Name was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, right pencil muscle and a spike wound to the left hock, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Moles, the trainer of Woody's My Name regarding the greyhound's performance. After consulting with the on course veterinarian, Stewards considered the injuries sustained and stand down days given and subsequently took no further action on this occassion. 

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Tarquin Bob engaged in this event on 19 October, 2018, pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dreamy Julian.

Dreamy Julian was quick to begin.  Apila Cash and Tarquin Bob were slow to begin.  It's Debatable and Delta's Magic collided on the first turn checking It's Debatable.  Apila Cash, Delta's Magic and Tarquin Bob collided in the back straight checking Apila Cash.  It's Debatable and Apila Cash collided on the home turn checking It's Debatable.

A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Zok Dee.

Miss Zok Dee was slow to begin.  Crackerjack Man was checked off Nukem soon after the start.  Miss Zok Dee raced wide approaching the second turn.  Hashtag Spolly and Oz Wizard collided approaching the second turn.  Oz Wizard was checked off Reggie Ryan on the second turn.  Crackerjack Man and Oz Wizard collided in the back straight and again on the third turn checking Crackerjack Man.

A pre-race sample was taken from Whodat Magic.

Whodat Magic was slow to begin.  Dr. Luvdisc, Walk Woody Walk and Fairy Where collied approaching the first turn.  Dr. Luvdisc galloped on Fairy Where on the second turn checking Fairy Where.  Dr. Luvdisc and Walk Woody Walk collided approaching the home turn.  Fairy Where was checked off Walk Woody Walk approaching the home turn.  Hit 'N' Split and Jonny Bravo collided approaching the home turn.  Jonny Bravo and All About Arby collided on the home turn.

Hit 'N' Split was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Whodat Magic was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Formosa, the representative for Hit 'N' Split regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages. Mr Formosa stated that since returning to racing the greyhound has failed to run a strong 395m and may be better suited to a shorter journey. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Little Black Joe.

Barroom Counsel and Tiger Dusty were slow to begin.  Marko Bale, Little Black Joe and Jobes Return collided soon after the start checking Marko Bale.  Laurentide Ice, Little Black Joe and Jobes Return collided on the first turn checking Laurentide Ice.  Tiger Dusty was checked off Jobes Return on the second turn.  Marko Bale was checked off Jobes Return on the second turn.  Barroom Counsel and Tiger Dusty collided on the third turn checking Barroom Counsel.

A pre-race sample was taken from Pink Tiara.

Terrah Round was quick to begin. Hurricane Billie was slow to begin.  Kireina and Sweet Spolly collided soon after the start.  Hurricane Billie was checked off Sweet Spolly on the first turn and collided with Aeroplane Bella checking Cool Rhonda.  Kireina was checked off Terrah Round on the first turn and collided with Pink Tiara causing Kireina and Pink Tiara to race wide.  That Will Be galloped on Terrah Round on the home turn.  Kireina was checked off Terrah Round in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Johnson, the trainer of Lektra Elsa regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lektra Elsa last raced on 29 June, 2018 and is returing to racing following a change of kennel.

Little Freck and Hypo Chared were quick to begin.  Dr. Marshmellow was slow to begin.  Nostimo and Long Live Sid collided on the first turn.  Nostimo galloped on Long Live Sid on the first turn.  Dr. Marshmellow crossed to the outside on the second turn causing Lektra Elsa to race wide.  Dr. Marshmellow was checked off Lektra Elsa approaching the home turn.  Dr. Marshmellow raced wide on the home turn.

Ms. C. Allen the trainer of Ruby Gas declared a new weight of 28.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Ruby Gas last raced at 29.5kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from John's Choice.

Destini Exactor was quick to begin.  Good Old Days and Ruby Gas were slow to begin.  John's Choice and Speedway Lass collided soon after the start checking Speedway Lass.  Ruby Gas and Midnight Muscat collided on the first turn checking Ruby Gas.  No Sugar galloped on Ruby Gas on the home turn checking Ruby Gas, No Sugar fell as a result.  

No Sugar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Speedway Lass was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mignon.

Scott Lucky, Mignon and Perfect Hours collided soon after the start checking Mignon and Perfect Hours.  Fear Fire and Rayda collided approaching the first turn checking Fear Fire.  Mignon and Perfect Hours collided on the first turn.  Meehan Deano crossed out on the first turn and raced wide.  Tinderella and Scott Lucky collided approaching the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Mignon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Fear Fire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Kennels closed approximately 13 minutes late due to a slow internet connection during the kennelling process. 

Satisfactory trial results:

Got Goosebumps trialled over 315 metres from box 6, weight 31.4kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.44 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Got Goosebumps was cleared

Satisfactory trial results (cramp):

Enhanced Power trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 33.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.44 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Enhanced Power was cleared.

Enhanced Power was vetted following the trial, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: 24.10.18

Following a review of the satisfactory trial, Enhanced Power will be cleared to race once the greyhound has completed the10 day veterinary stand down period.
