Sofie Gogolac was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left lumbo-sacral muscle swelling, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Unsullied was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left carpal soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Ignis was quick to begin.

Mr. Fabulous, Jump In Line and Dyna Nelly collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Nelly.  Inga Ross and Dyna Nelly collided approaching the first turn.  Jump In Line and Limburg Will collided on the first turn checking Limburg Will who stumbled and lost ground.  Inga Ross and Dyna Nelly collided on the first turn checking Dyna Nelly.  Jump In Line raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Limburg Will was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain, minor lacerations to the bottom lip, outside left and right hocks, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Kate Jackson, the trainer of Chief Peekay regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Chief Peekay last raced on 2 April 2018, weighing 28.6kg. Ms Jackson stated that the greyhound is returning from a broken toe. Ms Jackson also declared a new weight of 29.9kg.

Coconut Gloria was vetted during kennelling and again prior to the race due to the connections concern that the greyhound was showing lameness of the right hock. During both examinations the veterinary surgeon could not detect any abnormalities and as such passed the greyhound suitable to race.

Coconut Gloria and Just Audrey were quick to begin.   Chief Peekay, Great Success and Big Tilly were slow to begin.

Are You Ready and Skidlisha collided soon after the start.  Chief Peekay and Great Success collided soon after the start.  Are You Ready, Larrikan Bozzie and Big Tilly collided on the first turn checking Larrikan Bozzie.  Are You Ready and Big Tilly collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Chief Peekay checked off Skidlisha on the home turn and collided with Great Success checking Chief Peekay and Great Success.  Just Audrey crossed wide in the home straight.  Are You Ready checked off Chief Peekay approaching the winning post and collided with Larrikan Bozzie checking Are You Ready and Larrikan Bozzie.

Mr Cameron Taylor, trainer of Izza Lektra declared a new weight of 25.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Izza Lektra last raced at 26.5kg.

Black Rose Texas checked off Tankalicious on the home turn and collided with Avatar Witch.  Black Rose Texas and Avatar Witch collided entering the home straight.  Going In Style, Black Rose Texas and Avatar Witch collided in the home straight.  Black Rose Texas and Usara Allen colided in the home straight.  Black Rose Texas and Speckie McKean collided approaching the winning post.

Ace Gone Wild and Sweet Strike collided soon after the start.  Zipping Boyd and Ha Ha Gotcha collided approaching the first turn checking Ha Ha Gotcha.  Parsnip checked off Trium approaching the first turn.  Go Didda Go and Parsnip collided approaching the first turn checking Parsnip.  Sweet Strike clipped the heels of Ace Gone Wild on the first turn checking Sweet Strike, Trium and Ha Ha Gotcha.  Parsnip and Sweet Strike collided approaching the home turn checking Trium and severely checking Parsnip and Sweet Strike.  

Parsnip was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound a laceration to the left hind leg and a spike wound to the right hind paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet Strike was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Kimura was a late scratching at 2.22pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to split webbing. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Murrabit Benny was slow to begin.

Lucky Gypsy and My Territory collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ohio Fernando and Riverdale Danger collided on the first turn checking Riverdale Danger.  Chapta Lee and First Responder collided on the first turn checking First Responder.  Lucky Gypsy crossed wide approaching the home turn checking My Territory.

Stewards spoke to Brenda Kinder the trainer of Solo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Solo last raced on 27 March 2018. Ms Kinder stated that the greyhound is returning from a wrist injury.

Conde, Petite Harbour and Spring Kitty were quick to begin.

Solo, Frog And Toad and Rocket Riley collided soon after the start checking Frog And Toad and Rocket Riley.  Conde and Petite Harbour collided on the first turn checking Petite Harbour.  Petite Harbour and Miss Shieka collided approaching the home turn checking Petite Harbour. Rocket Riley and Solo collided approaching the home turn checking Solo.  Rocket Riley raced wide on the home turn.
