Stewards spoke to Mr P.Dapiran, the trainer of My Bro Lewis regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. My Bro Lewis last raced on 28 March, 2018. Mr Dapiran stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after an injured left radius.
Mr. G. Minne, trainer of Greg's Prince declared a new weight of 30.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Greg's Prince last raced at 31.7kg.

Keisha's Boy was slow to begin.
Rainbow Parade and Shazza's Gift collided soon after the start. Greg's Prince and Yohan collided approaching the first turn checking Yohan. My Bro Lewis and Greg's Prince collided on the first turn. Yohan and Golden Aura collided entering the home straight. My Bro Lewis clipped the heels of Coopes in the home straight.
