Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Sherlock.
Dr. Sherlock was quick to begin. Where's Lachie, Aston Tobin and Dr. Mortikye collided soon after the start. Tobacco Leaf and Stella View collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Where's Lachie and Aston Tobin collided approaching the first turn. Stella View eased on the first turn checking Aton Tobin. Dr. Sherlock and Lottie Glenda collided on the first turn. Tobacco Leaf was checked off Ohana Sparkles approaching the second turn. Aston Tobin was checked off Tobacco Leaf in the back straight. Stella View eased on the third turn. Stella View and Where's Lachie collided entering the home straight. Tobacco Leaf and Dr. Mortikye collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Martinovic the representative for Stella View regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and on the third turn. Stella View was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Stella View with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Martinovic pleaded not guilty to the charge, Stella View was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
