Steward's Report

Gwenog Jones was quick to begin.  Xala Bale and Iron Throne were slow to begin. 

Josephine, Crown Benji and Crown Yasmine collided soon after the start.  Crown Vinnie, Crown Benji and Josephine collided approaching the first turn, checking Crown Vinnie and Josephine.  Crown Xena and Crown Yasmine collided on the first turn, checking Crown Yasmine.  Crown Vinnie and Xala Bale collided on the first turn, checking Crown Vinnie.  Crown Benji and Crown Yasmine collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Crown Vinnie checked off Crown Yasmine approaching the home turn.  Josephine checked off Crown Vinnie approaching the home turn. 

Crown Yasmine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Gwenog Jones - the winner of the event.

Gwenog Jones did not have a designated catcher at the completion of the event. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. I. Cockerell who stated that he engaged Ms. A. Kenyon to catch his greyhound. After confirming Mr. Cockerell's statement with Ms. Kenyon, Stewards issued her a warning for failing to ensure the greyhound was caught.
