Mayhem Dream and Lady Simmerson were slow to begin. Brolga Lass and Dyna Jenaya collided soon after the start checking Dyna Jenaya and Mayhem Dream. Valita was slow to begin. Valita and Chill Out Al collided on the first turn. El Donberto and Ivalise Allen collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. El Donberto, Valita and Chill Out Al collided entering the back straight checking Chill Out Al.

Stewards noted that due to a technical difficulty the incorrect race number was displayed on the semaphore board for this event.

Havelock Keith was slow to begin. Bluegrass Icon, Havelock Keith and Handsome collided on the first turn checking Bluegrass Icon, Havelock Keith, Sandy's My Name and Tampico. Rothwell Gal and She's Gifted collided in the home straight.

One Plus Two – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from injuries to both triangles.

Our China Plate was slow to begin.

Zipping Spud and Space Alert collided soon after the start. Our China Plate checked off Chief Long Face on the first turn checking Aston Xanadu and severely checking Dream Boulevard and Space Alert causing Dream Boulevard to stumble and tail off as a result and causing Space Alert to fall.

Dream Boulevard underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right ulna fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Space Alert underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
