Steward's Report
Ya Ya Ya and Talanjee Minnie collided approaching the first turn. Ya Ya Ya checked off Dirty Stella on the first turn checking Talanjee Minnie, Talanjee Chief and Zambora Cash. Moraine Coco checked off Talanjee Minnie approaching the home turn. Moraine Coco visibly eased approaching the home turn. Zambora Club raced wide in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Foxzami Thriller - the winner of the event.
Moraine Coco underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gore the trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Moraine Coco was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Gore pleaded guilty to the charge, Moraine Coco must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.
