Steward's Report
Kraken Katie – Late scratching at 10am when trainer, Mr Rodney Clark reported the greyhound to have a calf injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Perfect Marshall was slow to begin.
Soda Crash, Counting Pennies and Sunny's Kayo collided approaching the first turn checking Counting Pennies and Perfect Marshall. Penta Allen and Hazelwood Flyer collided approaching the first turn. Perfect Marshall and Counting Pennies collided approaching the second turn. Hazelwood Flyer checked off Soda Crash on the second turn and collided with Sunny's Kayo. Hazelwood Flyer faltered approaching the home turn checking Sunny's Kayo.
Hazelwood Flyer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
