Mr.M.Marshall was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Lumen Nation pursuant to GAR 33.

Eltora– Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a hock injury. 

Maeve and Eltora collided soon after the start. Express Angel and Through The Dark collided approaching the first turn, checking Maeve. Through The Dark galloped on the heels of Express Angel on the first turn. Express Angel and Maeve collided approaching the home turn, causing Through The Dark to lose ground. Rocket Express, Eltora and Maeve raced wide on the home turn. Goofey Express and Titanium Springs collided in the home straight.

Eastside became unbalanced on the first turn. Queena Bale, Fab Bourbski and Galway Icon raced wide on the home turn. Poor Old Rusty checked off the heels of Queena Bale in the home straight. Poor Old Rusty and Galaxy Blaster collided on the finish line.

My Hardaway Hana checked off Winsome Express soon after the start. Pepper Rock, Schatzie Armo and My Hardaway Hana collided approaching the first turn. Ample Warning checked off Manila Kampyon approaching the first turn. Ample Warning checked off Dyna Saurus approaching the first turn. Manila Kampyon checked off Winsome Express approaching the home turn.

Crackerjack Jase – Late scratching at 11.19 AM when Mr. I. Cockerell reported the greyhound to have kennel cough (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Prior to the event, stewards tested the amber light on numerous occasions with success. However prior to boxing the greyhound for this event it was discovered that the amber light had once again malfunctioned. All greyhounds were boxed without the use of the amber light.

Veracity and Ballistic Yaala were slow to begin.

Hooked On You, Ballistic Yaala and Veracity collided on the first turn, checking Veracity and Wibur Deeds. Wibur Deeds raced wide on the home turn. Emerald Rainbow checked of the heels of Got Some Wheels in the home straight.

Black Kruger checked off Auggie approaching the first turn. Chucka Khan checked off heels of Tearaway Train on the first turn, colliding with Woolybully Keats and checking Quick Session. Tearaway Train made contact with the running rail on the first turn, causing the greyhound to fall, severely checking Chucka Khan, Woolybully Keats and Quick Session.

Matty Mateusz and Extra Gear collided soon after the start. Big Deal, Matty Mateusz, Extra Gear, Royal Solo and Sisco Bella collided on the first turn, checking Extra Gear, Matty Mateusz and Quest For Glory. Quest For Glory and Matty Mateusz collided on the second turn, checking Matty Mateusz. Sisco Bella checked off Big deal in the home straight.

Glayva and Lucille Dior were quick to begin.

Due To Burn crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Bear Left, Glayva and Aston Milla, which lost ground as a result. Aston Milla, Glayva and Bear Left collided approaching the home turn. Glayva and Bear Left raced wide on the home turn. Glayva and Bear Left collided in the home straight. Floppy Joe failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post.

Floppy Joe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Mr. D. Trewin the handler of Floppy Joe, declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr.D.Trewin, the handler of Floppy Joe regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Floppy Joe was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr.D.Trewin pleaded guilty to the charge, Floppy Joe is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted

Kung Fu Hustle, Bumble Bee Bolto, Super Stoked and Mr. Moonlight collided on the first turn, checking Super Stoked and Mr. Moonlight. Bush Destroyer and Searching collided approaching the home turn, checking Kung Fu Hustle, which collided with and severely checking Searching and Super Stoked. Mr. Moonlight, Searching and Super Stoked raced wide on the home turn.

Manila Beef checked off Jackie Jai approaching the first turn. Ally Oop Keats and Jackie Jai collided on several occasions in the home straight.
