Untainted was slow to begin.  Revolution Hook and Facing The Music collided soon after the start.  Untainted was checked off Looby Sky approaching the first turn.  Flojo Mikado and Facing The Music collided on the first turn checking Flojo Mikado, Facing The Music and Looby Sky.  Flojo Mikado and Looby Sky collided approaching the home turn.  Looby Sky was checked off Flojo Mikado entering the home straight causing Looby Sky to race wide.  Revolution Hook raced wide in the home straight.

Chase 'Em Spolly and Off To Monaco were quick to begin.  Shaggy Rose crossed in soon after the start checking Brandy Mandy.  Hurricane Billie and Inter Lana collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Billie.  Inter Lana was checked off Chase 'Em Spolly approaching the home turn checking Shaggy Rose.  Brandy Mandy and Bluwy raced wide on the home turn.

Hot Pies, Toonang and Bright Heart were slow to begin.  Shaun John crossed in soon after the start checking Toonang.  Hot Pies was checked off Merida soon after the start.  Merida crossed in approaching the first turn checking One Thrill and Rapanui Surprise.  Amy's Firework was checked off Merida on the first turn checking Amy's Firework, One Thrill, Hot Pies and Toonang causing Hot Pies and Toonang to race wide.  Amy's Firework and One Thrill collided approaching the home turn checking One Thrill.  Toonang raced wide on the home turn.  Amy's Firework, Hot Pies, Toonang and Bright Heart raced wide in the home straight.

Toonang proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events.

Berry Bound was a late scratching at 5.42pm on the advice of the on track Veterinarian due to a cut on the right hind leg.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Eclipse was a late scratching at 5.50pm on the advice of the on track Veterinarian due to a wound on the left front webbing.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Shevchenko was quick to begin.  High Tale crossed in soon after the start checking Backin' Bully, Superior Charry and Pacific Reef, Pacific Reef lost ground.  Pacific Reef raced wide in the home straight.

Pacific Reef underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Anderson regarding the performance of Pacific Reef in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Pacific Reef must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Flashing Oaks was slow to begin.  Empty Chamber and Zipping Amy collided soon after the start checking Empty Chamber.  Where's Lola and Nimble Lucy collided on the first turn severely checking Nimble Lucy which lost considerable ground checking Benny's Entity and Flashing Oaks.  Vienna Gypsy and Nimble Lucy raced wide in the home straight.

Mepunga Doyle was slow to begin.  Sawan Sawan and It's A Riot collided approaching the first turn checking Sawan Sawan.  All Consuming was checked off It's A Jewel on the first turn checking Mepunga Doyle.  It's A Riot and Mepunga Maggie collided on the first turn.  All Consuming and Mepunga Doyle collided approaching the home turn.

Feikuai Donna was quick to begin.  Kingsbrae Cheeko, Pink Floyd and Thumb A Ride collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Kingsbrae Cheeko was checked off Blunderbuss on the first turn checking Thumb A Ride and Pink Floyd.

Aston Tequila was quick to begin.  Braemar Keelie and Speedy Readie collided several times soon after the start.  Braemar Keelie was checked off Speedy Readie approaching the first turn.  Inter Mimi was checked off Zemira Mikado on the home turn.

Farfalla Nera was quick to begin.  Haunting and Bavaro collided approaching the first turn.  Inter Phillip, Farfalla Nera and They Love Me collided on the first turn.  Farfalla Nera was checked off Threadin' Mikado on the first turn.  Threadin' Mikado was checked off They Love Me on the first turn checking Bavaro and severely checking Haunting.

Bavaro underwent a post race veterinary examination and there was no apparent injury detected.
