Superior Kris, Mahjong Nickel and Agent Laylan were slow to begin.

Mahjong Nickel brushed the running rail on the first turn, checking Superior Kris which contacted the running rail as a result and lost ground. Agent Laylan eased and raced wide on the first turn. Agent Laylan raced wide in the home straight. 

 Superior Kris underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a minor left elbow laceration. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Agent Laylan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a left back muscle injury and an abrasion to the right metacarpal, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Jason Hardy, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Agent Laylan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hardy pleaded not guilty to the charge, Agent Laylan was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jaguar Jessie was slow to begin. 

Rosie Reigns galloped on Looby Sky soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Sonic Lauryn and Collecting collided approaching the first turn. Collecting and Jaguar Jessie collided on the first turn. Jaguar Jessie checked off Collecting approaching the second turn. Smokey Renn and Sonic Lauryn collided on the second turn. Jaguar Jessie checked off Collecting entering the back straight and raced wide.

Buckle Up York was quick to begin. Alonso Power was slow to begin.

Sabjorn Bale, Iona Misty and Why Not Hugh collided soon after the start, checking Iona Misty. Alonso Power and Sabjorn Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Sabjorn Bale. Alonso Power, Why Not Hugh and Buckle Up York collided on the first turn, checking Alonso Power, Iona Misty, Why Not Hugh and Buckle Up York and causing Alonso Power to contact the running rail and lose ground. Sabjorn Bale and Buckle Up York collided on the home turn. Alonso Power, Iona Misty and Buckle Up York collided in the home straight. 

Alonso Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a sustained a right triangle muscle injury and a spike wound to the right hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Sticka Fantasy was slow to begin. 

Invictus Coco and Flying Moss collided soon after the start, checking Invictus Coco. Mrs. Flintstone and Royal Jebrynah collided approaching the first turn, checking Royal Jebrynah. Flying Moss, Haunting and Mrs. Flintstone collided approaching the first turn, checking Haunting. Haunting and Sticka Fantasy collided on the first turn, checking Sticka Fantasy and Royal Jebrynah; both greyhounds raced wide as a result.

Jim's Hotel and Buddy's Entity collided soon after the start. Elle Est Bonne and Bubbles collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Angry Trip, Jim's Hotel and Buddy's Entity collided approaching the first turn. Elle Est Bonne checked off Bubbles on the first turn. Buddy's Entity and Mayhem Express collided on the first turn. Kiranna Blue and Jim's Hotel collided in the back straight. 

Lightwood Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a split webbing to the right fore foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Lochinvar Deus was slow to begin. 

Flying Danger checked off South Of Eden approaching the first turn. Miss Dee Meadows checked off Flying Danger approaching the first turn and collided with Allen Gerwen. Kadalex Kid checked off Romany Girl on the first turn and collided with Barcia Houdini.  Flying Danger and Miss Dee Meadows colided in the back straight. Miss Dee Meadows and Allen Gerwen collided on the second turn, causing Allen Gerwen to gallop on Miss Dee Meadows, checking Miss Dee Meadows, Allen Gerwen and South Of Eden. South Of Eden and Miss Dee Meadows collided on the home turn.

Lottie Glenda and Piccolo Fratello collided soon after the start. Belleperi Miss and Mahjong World collided soon after the start. Good Move clipped the heels of Belleperi Miss approaching the first turn. Spritely Mac, Belleperi Miss, Mahjong World and Poison Gas collided on the first turn. Spritely Mac galloped on Belleperi Miss on the first turn, causing Belleperi Miss to stumble and lose ground. Callister and Piccolo Fratello collided on the first turn. 

Space Alert was slow to begin. 

Nangkita Keats crossed out soon after the start causing Kraken Rye, Princess Spolly and Space Alert to collide. Shotgun Shiloh, Superstar Jessie, Let's Roll, Run Fast Bonnie, Kraken Rye and Princess Spolly collided on the first turn, checking Kraken Rye and severely checking Run Fast Bonnie which faltered and subsequently pulled up. Shotgun Shiloh, Nangkita Keats and Space Alert collided approaching the home turn, checking Nankita Keats. Shotgun Shiloh and Space Alert collided on the home turn. Superstar Jessie and Let's Roll collided on the home turn. 

Run Fast Bonnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained shin soreness to the left hind leg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Somerton May – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing after having a bone chip removed from the left fore leg. 

New Fire Girl, Just Faith and Middle Trucker collided approaching the first turn, checking Just Faith. Cindy's Mate checked off All Inn Christy on the first turn. Just Faith and Middle Trucker collided on the first turn. Cindy's Mate and Somerton May collided on the first turn, checking Somerton May. Just Faith and Somerton May collided several times in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Due To Burn.

Why Not Bazzar was quick to begin. 

Kel Knight, Jugdish and Dyna Owen collided approaching the first turn. Winlock Casper checked off Why Not Bazzar on the first turn, causing Kel Knight to check off Jugdish, checking Dyna Owen. Jugdish faltered on the home turn and subsequently fell, checking Kel Knight and Lost Blue. 

Jugdish underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a tibia and fibula fracture. Jugdish was humanely euthanised. 

Big Barra was slow to begin. 

Turn Him Around and Standing Bear collided soon after the start. Big Barra, Miss Dozer and Tooka Half collided soon after the start, checking Big Barra and Miss Dozer. Turn Him Around checked off Standing Bear on the first turn. Miss Dozer checked off Big Barra in the home straight.
