Noonbarra Jack and Crowdza Starring were slow to begin.

Crowdza Starring and Jacobite Hammer collided approaching the second turn severely checking Crowdza Starring and Jocobite Hammer. Whitehart Magic and Dyna Eleana collided on the second turn. Noonbarra Jack checked off Dashing Dino entering the back straight and fell as a result checking Crowdza Starring. Shakey Coconut raced wide in the home straight.

Noonbarra Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. 

Milo Allen was slow to begin.

Nigel Allen and Perfect Marshall collided soon after the start. Hot Finish, Gwydion and Milo Allen collided approaching the first turn checking Milo Allen. Lektra Rainbow checked off Dyna Helena on the first turn checking Callister and Hot Finish. Hot Finish and Gwydion collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Nigel Allen checked off Gwydion entering the back straight.

Nigel Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Due to a technical malfunction no times were recorded. The race was hand timed as a result, 29:84. 

Lochinvar Deus was slow to begin.

Lochinvar Deus checked off Ayo Joy on the first turn. Lochinvar Deus and Rollin' With It collided on the home turn. Rollin' With It raced wide approaching the second turn.

Maximum Brew underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left chest injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Maximum Brew – Warning issued for race manners in the home straight.

Quavo and Kintamani were slow to begin.

Kintamani, Zipping Galon and Vandagambo collided approaching the first turn checking Kintamani. Quavo galloped on the heels of Zipping Galon on the first turn checking Zipping Galon  severely checking Quavo which lost ground as a result.

Quovo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Quavo was found to have a left thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Peppertide - the winner of the event.

Miriam – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell.

Destroyer, Miriam and Diego Fernando collided soon after the start checking Miriam. Diego Fernando and Slinky Inky collided approaching the first turn. Head Banger and Zanthre Allen collided approaching the second turn severely checking Zanthre Allen and Diego Fernando, checking Destroyer and Slinky Inky. Miriam contacted the running rail approaching the second turn. Head Banger and Aston It Is collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston It Is - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Why Not Ginger.

Emerald Rainbow and Dyna Bonnay were slow to begin. Mepunga Molly and Why Not Maxine collided soon after the start checking Why Not Maxine. Emerald Rainbow, Mepunga Molly and Why Not Ginger collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Molly. Are You and Dyna Bonnay collided on the first turn. Quip Allen and Emerald Rainbow collided on the first turn. Mepunga Molly checked off Why Not Ginger on the second turn. Emerald Rainbow and Dyna Bonnay collided approaching the winning post causing Emerald Rainbow and Are You to collide. 

Stewards noted that a young child threw a small plastic cup onto the outside section of the track prior to the greyhounds reaching the first turn, this had no effect on the outcome of the event. 

Manny Allen was slow to begin.

Shady Tex, Abimbola and Cee Me Ignite collided soon after start. Dyna Alexia and Destini Cavalier collided approaching the turn. Abimbola and Cee Me Ignite collided on the first turn. Destini Cavalier and Manny Allen collided on the first turn. Loch Tight and Shady Tex collided on the first turn. Destini Cavalier and Manny Allen collided on the second turn.

Mr G. Dailly was issued with a warning after the greyhound Sky Wesley was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Sustain The Rage and All Inn Baz were slow to begin.

Miss Innings and Sky Wesley collided soon after the start. Chiseller and Notorious Mac collided soon after the start. She's A Mitzi, Miss Innings and Sky Wesley collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Innings which brushed the running rail as a result. Chiseller, All Inn Baz and Dyna Garner collided approaching the second turn. Miss Innings and Sky Wesley collided on the second turn severely checking Miss Innings.

Straitline Willy and El Donberto were slow to begin.

Chill Out Al and Flaming Brooke collided on the first turn checking Flaming Brooke. High Tenacity and Eddie collided on the first turn. El Donberto crossed to the rail approaching the second turn checking Straitline Willy and Chill Out Al. Flaming Brooke raced wide on the second turn. Chill Out Al checked off Straitline Willy on the fourth turn. Eddie, High Tenacity and Canya Jake collided in the home straight. Jacobite Joesph and Eddie collided approaching the winning post.

Uringa, Sparkling Jewel and Fess Crockett were slow to begin.

Sparkling Jewel checked off Banjo Fever soon after the start. Uringa checked off Banjo Fever on the first turn. Sparkling Jewel and Aston Ando collided approaching the second turn checking Aston Ando and Fess Crockett. Uringa checked off Banjo Fever on the second turn.
