Belt Up Ronny was slow to begin.

Belt Up Ronny, Gettin' Bale and Una's Boy collided approaching the first turn. Una's Boy checked off Divya Bale on the first turn. Belt Up Ronny and Divya Bale collided on the first turn. Opala Bale checked off Belt Up Ronny approaching the home turn. Opala Bale crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Una's Boy. 

Boney Power – Late scratching at 4:18pm when Ms J Power reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pyrenees Daisy was quick to begin.

Kiarni Jack raced greenly approaching the first turn. Kiarni Jack checked off Mount Ida Miss approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Daisy and Kiarni Jack collided on the home turn. Zenish Bale and Mount Ida Miss collided on the home turn. Zenisha Bale visibly eased and turned it's head outwards in the home straight severely checking Mount Ida Miss. 

Zenisha Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 6, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to handler Ms. R. Kenyon, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Zenisha Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Kenyon pleaded guilty to the charge, Zenisha Bale is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to representative Mr C. Mazzonetto regarding Kiarni Jack's race manner approaching the turn off the back straight. Mr Mazzonetto explained that it was the greyhound's first time racing under lights and first time in a field, and these factors may have contributed to its change in action. After reviewing both camera angles Stewards noted Mr Mazzonetto's comments.   

Absolute Scenes was slow to begin. Pyrenees Steele was very slow to begin (3 1/2 lengths).

Haidee Bale, Nella Bale and Absolute Scenes collided on the first turn checking Nella Bale and Absolute Scenes. Absolute Scenes checked off Nella Bale approaching the home turn. Juniper Bale and Haidee Bale collided in the home straight.

Absolute Scenes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Episode was quick to begin.

Inkling, Erolo Bale, Dyna Waqa, One An' Six and Henrow Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Erolo Bale, One An' Six and Dyna Waqa. Don't Tell Papa, Inkling and Henrow Bale collided on the first turn checking Inkling and Henrow Bale. Inkling and Episode collided on the home turn checking Episode. Erolo Bale checked off Henrow Bale in the home straight.

My Mandara was slow to begin.

Oh So Rowdy and Yaala Eclipse collided approaching the first turn. Yaala Eclipse and Our Didda collided approaching the first turn. Yaala Eclipse checked off My Mandara on the first turn. Mick's Advice checked off Blistering in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Valletta Sky.

Valletta Sky crossed to the rails approaching the first turn checking Rockin' Joe. Connor Allen, Folding Green and Rockin' Joe collided entering the back straight. Folding Green galloped on the heels of Rockin' Joe approaching the second turn.

A post-race sample was taken from High Tenacity - the winner of the event.

Winsome Fernando, Chief Long Face and Militant Spirit collided approaching first turn checking Chief Long Face. Mr. Uggboot checked off Winsome Fernando on the first turn checking Chief Long Face. Mr. Uggboot and Chief Long Face collided several times approaching the home turn.

Feikuai George – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a right shoulder injury.

Magic Lantern and Compounding were slow to begin.

Compounding and Loading Zone collided soon after the start. Magic Lantern and Fast Izzi collided approaching the first turn. Rampant Doc checked off Johnny Wishbone on the first turn. Magic Lantern and Fast Izzi collided on the first turn checking Fast Izzi. Johnny Wishbone, Loading Zone and Feikuai George collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking Feikuai George.

Dakora – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a left shoulder injury.

Sweet Swagger was slow to begin.

Cash No Bounce checked off Dakora on the first turn. Just Audrey and Flashy De Goey collided on the first turn.

Just Audrey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Please Stand Up - Late scratching at 6:05pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to a laceration to the right hind paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bundarra Magic, Kissable and De Belin were slow to begin.

Winlock Rose - Turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the race, placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 52(1). Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Premier Rumble was slow to begin.

Sobered Up crossed to the rail soon after the start. Clark Road checked off Seabrook Indi approaching the first turn. Nick's Never checked off Seabrook Indi approaching the first turn checking Clark Road. Premier Rumble crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sobered Up, Fernando's Flare and Seabrook Indi. Sobered Up checked off Fernando's Flare approaching the home turn. Nick's Never and Clark Road raced wide in the home straight.
