Fortnight Addict, Vivatar and Crackerjack Jase were slow to begin.  Dyna Yappy, Vivatar and Crackerjack Jase collided on the first turn checking Fortnight Addict, Orina Allen and Vivatar.  Dyna Yappy and Crackerjack Jase collided entering the back straight.  Yongning and Dyna Yappy collided approaching the home turn.

Faraday and Moresby were slow to begin.  Coffee Scroll, My Reflection and Diamond Bling collided approaching the first turn.  Diamond Bling checked off Tampico on the first turn.  My Reflection and Diamond Bling collided entering the front straight.  Moresby raced wide in the front straight.  Coffee Scroll and Tampico collided on the second turn.  Midnight Titan checked off My Reflection on the second turn.  Midnight Titan and Faraday collided on the third turn causing Midnight Titan and Diamond Bling to collided checking Diamond Bling.  Midnight Titan and Faraday collided in the back straight.  Diamond Bling checked off Midnight Titan approaching the home turn.  Coffee Scroll and Tampico collided in the home straight.

The start of this event was delayed by 1 minute due to Sunshine Coast Thoroughbreds running behind schedule.

Miss Innings was quick to begin.  Molly Coaster, Loch Tight and Shima Mart were slow to begin.  Miss Innings, Mepunga Prue and Rebecca Bale collided on the first turn, severely checking Mepunga Prue.  Mepunga Prue and Molly Coaster collided on the second turn.  Rebecca Bale checked off Miss Innings approaching the home turn checking Molly Coaster and Rebecca Bale.

Mepunga Prue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right central tarsal bone, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Riddles was a late scratching at 6:55pm due to traffic congestion.

Poise was quick to begin.  Warrion Warrior crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dyna Varsity.  Slinky Inky checked off Dorrigo Bale on the first turn.  Dyna Varsity crossed to the outside on the first turn and raced wide as a result.  Poise and Warrion Warrior collided approaching the second turn.  Black Signature checked off Warrion Warrior entering the back straight.  Poise and Warrion Warrior collided on the third turn checking Poise.  Poise and Dorrigo Bale collided on the third turn.

Trainer Nicole Stanley was questioned regarding the nomination and subsequent scratching of Joshy Wink Wink in this event. Stewards have adjourned the inquiry to evaluate the explanations provided.
