Dewana Help Me was slow to begin.
Creative Playboy, Sticka Fantasy and Rock It Fernando collided approaching the first turn. Creative Playboy and Dewana Help Me collided on the first turn checking Creative Playboy. Creative Playboy galloped on Sticka Fantasy on the first turn. Angry Trip and Rock It Fernando collided on the second turn. Angry Trip and Sticka Fantasy collided entering the back straight checking Angry Trip. Rock It Fernando failed to pursue the lure with commitment on the home turn checking Sticka Fantasy. Rock It Fernando failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight causing Angry Trip, Rock It Fernando and Through collided as a result.
Rock It Fernando underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind foot and right foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr M. Briganti, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Rock It Fernando was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Briganti pleaded guilty to the charge, Rock It Fernando must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
