Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Ennis, the handler of Ella Enchanted, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ella Enchanted last raced on 11/10/18. Mr. Ennis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Big Deal and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.19pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. K. Howat was fined the sum of $100.

A pre race sample was taken from Air Commander.

Stevie Dee and Dyna Harpa collided soon after the start. Stevie Dee checked off Summer Skye on the second turn, checking Ella Enchanted. Dyna Harpa checked off Stevie Dee on the second turn.

A sample was taken from Ella Enchanted - the winner of the event.
