Hawkie and Unwanted Lady collided soon after the start, checking Hawkie. Hawkie checked off Hurricane Rose approaching the first turn. Blockette checked off Mini Yaala on the first turn. Mini Yaala checked off Zipping Eleanor approaching the home turn, checking Blockette. Glayva and Unwanted Lady collided approaching the home turn, checking Unwanted Lady. Mini Yaala and Blockette collided on the home turn causing Blockette to stumble and lose ground. Mini Yaala and Blockette collided in the home straight, checking Blockette. Zipping Eleanor and Moraine Coco collided approaching the winning post, checking Zipping Eleanor.
Blockette was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jeffrey Geall regarding the direction that the greyhound Zipping Eleanor be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
