Stewards spoke to Mr Jeffrey Geall regarding the direction that the greyhound Zipping Eleanor be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Buck Tooth Bling stumbled at box rise and lost ground. Star Fever, Short Note, Brindle Delight and Tearaway Train collided soon after the start, checking Brindle Delight. Brindle Delight clipped the heels of Star Fever on the first turn causing Brindle Delight to fall; Buck Tooth Bling collided with Brindle Delight as a result and subsequently tailed off.
