Kennels closed approximately 15 minutes late to allow Mr Steven White to kennel his greyhound. Mr White was issued a reprimand pursuant to GAR 31(1). In not taking more severe action Stewards took into consideration Mr White's evidence, the distance travelled and that this was Mr White's first offence under this rule. 

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute to allow staff to remove a hare from the track. 

Kraken Roger was slow to begin. 

Persian Oasis checked off Blackpool Funk on the first turn. Yep Yep checked off Blackpool Funk on the first turn. Chachi Arcola, Persian Oasis and Kraken Roger collided on the first turn, severely checking Chachi Arcola and Persian Oasis. Flying Jamaica and Cash No Bounce collided approaching the home turn. Yep Yep and Cash No Bounce collided on the home turn, checking Yep Yep and Kraken Roger.

Cah No Bounce was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Varsity and Streak Ahead were slow to begin. 

Streak Ahead checked off Dyna Varsity approaching the first turn. Dyna Varsity, Blockette, Streak Ahead and Dyna Yappy collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Yappy and Blockette. Blockette contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. 

Blockette was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Kraken Dust and Zanthre Allen were slow to begin. 

Kraken Dust and Dyna Yardo collided soon after the start, severely checking Kraken Dust which contacted the rail as a result. Dyna Yardo checked off Zanthre Allen approaching the first turn. Zanthre Allen and Why Not Macca collided on the first turn, checking Why Not Macca. Dyna Yardo raced wide in the home straight.

Why Not Loz was very slow to begin (3.5L). My Word Shirley was slow to begin.

My Word Shirley checked off Deano's Mojo soon after the start. Onions O'Rielly and Damnation collided approaching the home turn.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes while staff removed some debris from the track. 

Head Loch crossed to the rails soon after the start, checking Air Commander, Amigo Two and El Grand Knocka. Amigo Two and El Grand Knocka collided on the second turn, checking El Grand Knocka. 

A sample was taken from My Bro Kade - the winner of the event in a new track record time of 30.31.

So It Goes checked off Sweet Bourbski soon after the start. Sweet Bourbski and Bourbski Bar collided soon after the start. Bourbski Bar checked off Ayo Joy on the second turn, checking So It Goes. So It Goes checked off Noosa Parade on the third turn.

Johnny Wishbone was quick to begin. Ride High and Emerald Rainbow were slow to begin.

Ride High and Rig Fifty Five collided soon after the start. Ride High checked off Rig Fifty Five approaching the first turn. Emerald Rainbow and Lektra Swing collided on the first turn. Ride High and Lektra Swing collided approaching the home turn. Ride High checked off Lektra Swing approaching the home turn. Ride High raced wide entering the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Brooke Ennis, the trainer of Tritt Tritt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tritt Tritt last raced  on 20 October, 2018 and is returning to racing following a spell. 

Umar Allen was quick to begin.

Magic Lantern and Buy Me Diamonds collided soon after the start, checking Buy Me Diamonds. Raine Allen and Magic Lantern collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Umar Allen and Buy Me Diamonds collided approaching the home turn causing Buy Me Diamonds to contact the rail. Major Riot, Tritt Tritt, Raine Allen and Magic Lantern raced wide in the home straight. 

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Fabelite a scratching in this event on 21 January, 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Amigo One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
