Temperature prior to the race - kennels 19.5 degrees, outside 28.0 degrees.
Ripplebrook Tim crossed in soon after the start checking Weeona Pete and Weeona Yoshi. Weeona Roger was checked off Butter Chicken approaching the first turn. Weeona Roger was checked off Select All on the first turn. Weeona Bulldozer, Zipping Josette and Butter Chicken collided approaching the home turn checking Zipping Josette. Zipping Josette and Select All collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds checking Weeona Roger, Weeona Yoshi and Ripplebrook Tim, all three greyhounds raced wide as a result. Zipping Josette brushed the running rail entering the home straight. Select All galloped on Zipping Josette in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Zipping Josette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
