Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dana Crazy.
Aston Jewel was quick to begin.
Early Storm and Alina Grand collided on the first turn checking Alina Grand. Early Flight failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the first turn. Dana Crazy and She's Got Dash collided on the home turn.
Early Flight was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr Ashworth declined a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Ashworth, the representative of the greyhound Early Flight regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Early Flight with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ashworth pleaded guilty to the charge, Early Flight was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
