Inga Ross was a late scratching at 8.02pm on the 1 January 2019 due to a wrist injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Molly Coaster were slow to begin.

Tiger Dusty was slow to begin.  Romanova was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Tiger Dusty and Pharoah's Gold collided on the first turn checking Romanova and Pharoah's Gold.  Black Beauty checked off Empress Rose on the second turn.  Empress Rose checked off Ethics entering the back straight. 

Empress Rose was vetted and re-vetted following event 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right sartorius injury, right triangle injury and a left chest muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Chill Out Chris and Bourbski Bar were quick to begin.

Miss Heart and Zipping Keely collided on the first turn checking Miss Heart.  Miss Heart and Zipping Keely collided on the second turn checking Zipping Keely.  Peppertide raced wide in the back straight.  Miss Heart checked off Chill Out Chris in the back straight. 

Peppertide was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right chest muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Pursell regarding the greyhounds below market expectation performance in the event. Mr Pursell explained that the greyhound was having his first start at the track and is a greyhound that will improve with more track experience.

McIvor Verna, Just Nimble It and Dyna Artist collided soon after the start checking Just Nimble It.  Fast Izzi, McIvor Verna, Just Nimble It and Dyna Artist collided on the first turn.  Especial Shiraz and Rockstar Jane collided on the first turn checking Especial Shiraz.  Fast Izzi, Just Nimble It and Dyna Artist collided entering the front straight.  Fast Izzi and Just Nimble It collided on the second turn.  Just Nimble It and Dyna Artist collided on the home turn.

Wanchai Express was slow to begin.

Prince Mark and Wanchai Express collided soon after the start.  Manhattan Man and Bingo Boon collided soon after the start checking Manhattan Man which stumbled as lost ground as a result.  Top Alcohol and Prince Mark collided approaching the first turn checking Top Alcohol which contacted the running rail.  Top Alcohol checked off Prince Mark approaching the second turn.  

Manhattan Man was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left chest muscle injury and a spike wound under the left elbow, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Mayhem Breeze upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

No Excuse checked off Orazzi Ohh approaching the first turn.  No Excuse and Mayhem Breeze collided on the first turn.  No Excuse and Dyna Benny collided on the second turn. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Atlantic Jewel.

Atlantic Jewel was slow to begin.

Lady Freckles and Canyon County collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the winning post.  Atlantic Jewel and Buddy's Entity collided approaching the winning post.  Lady Freckles, Canyon County and Unique Quality collided approaching the first turn.  You Blue and Atlantic Jewel collided on the third turn and again several times from entering the home straight to approaching the winning post.

Pattaya Paul and Zipping Bolt were slow to begin.
