My Mascara was slow to begin. Miss Dangerwood and Blackpool Floss collided soon after the start. Moonie Cyclone and Crymelon Tess collided approaching the first turn, checking Crymelon Tess. Crymelon Rip and Crymelon Turbine collided on the first turn. Crymelon Turbine checked off Crymelon Rip approaching the home turn. Crymelon Tess and My Mascara collided several times approaching the home turn. Crymelon Turbine checked off the heels of Moonie Cyclone in the home straight.
Crymelon Tess was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg hamstring injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr Ian Bibby, the trainer of Crymelon Tess regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.
