Stewards reviewed the temperature prior to the start of kenneling, the outside temperature was 26.3 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.2 degrees. As the outside temprature was significantly lower than 32 degrees, Stewards dispensed of the 'Hot Weather' policy, in accordance with section 27.

Fortnight Addict, Cruisy's Blues, Where's Max and Moonie Cyclone collided soon after the start checking Cruisy's Blues, Where's Max and Moonie Cyclone. Tennyson Girl, Cruisy's Blues and Where's Max collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. No Rules checked off Fortnight Addict on the first turn checking Express Angel. Moonie Cyclone and No Rules collided on the home turn checking, No Rules. Fortnight Addict raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Haines, the representative of Yeran regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Yaran last raced on 7 September 2018. Mr. Haines stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Mr Haines declared a new weight of 25.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Yaran last raced at 24.4kgs.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr R Dunne regarding the direction that the greyhound Mickie Raven be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that the box first be removed.

Mr. M. Cullen, representative of Mid Life Crisis declared a new weight of 27.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mid Life Crisis last raced at 28.6kgs.
