Stewards spoke to Mr B. Pursell, the trainer of Annie Lava regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Annie Lava last raced on 18 July 2018 and is returning from a seasonal spell and change of kennel. Mr Pursell also declared a new weight of 28.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Annie Lava last raced at 26.6kgs.

White Fernando, Annie Lava, Chill Out Webby, Dream Future and Coco Spectre collided soon after the start checking Annie Lava and Coco Spectre.  White Fernando and Data Star collided on the first turn checking Chill Out Webby and severely checking Born Jamie which stumbled.  Annie Lava checked off Chill Out Webby approaching the second turn and raced wide checking Coco Spectre.  White Fernando and Data Star collided entering the back straight.  Chill Out Webby checked off Data Star approaching the home turn.  Jessie's Star and Dream Future collided in the home straight.

Ash Star and Light The Track were slow to begin.

Especial Shiraz and Mick's Advice collided soon after the start.  Ace Allen checked off Dyna Carmen on the first turn checking Ash Star, Pagan Dancer and Light The Track.  Especial Shiraz checked off Mick's Advice on the first turn checking Mick's Advice and Mepunga Laser.  Especial Shiraz checked off Ace Allen entering the front straight.  Ash Star and Mepunga Laser collided on the second turn.

Double Que was quick to begin.

Full Tilt, It's A Thrill, Annasay, Vanda Mick and Nicky Neo collided soon after the start checking It's A Thrill and Vanda Mick.  Double Que, Dyna Eva, Diego Fernando and Full Tilt collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds, Double Que faltered and lost considerable ground.  Annasay and Nicky Neo collided approaching the second turn.  Dyna Eva checked off Full Tilt approaching the second turn checking Annasay and Nicky Neo, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Dyna Eva contacted the running rail approaching the home turn checking Nicky Neo. Diego Fernando and Full Tilt collided on the home turn.  

Double Que was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left wrist, right monkey muscle, right deltoid, right shoulder and right whip muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Mino was slow to begin.

Quest For Glory and Buy Me Diamonds collided soon after the start.  Buy Me Diamonds checked off Miss Innings approaching the first turn and collided with Dr. Abbie.  Saetta and Feikuai Donna collided on the first turn checking Saetta and severely checking Feikuai Donna which raced wide.  Dr. Abbie and Quest For Glory collided on the first turn.  Feikuai Donna and Dr. Mino collided entering the back straight severely checking both greyhounds.  Quest For Glory checked off Dr. Abbie on the third turn.  Lagoon Pirate and Buy Me Diamonds collided entering the home straight.  Dr. Abbie and Saetta collided approaching the winning post.

Sublime News was quick to begin.  Equilibrium was slow to begin.

White Sox Ethics, Zipping Galon and Yankee's Ethics collided soon after the start.  Equilibrium and Beckham collided soon after the start.  Bro's Little Gem, Sublime News and Yankee's Ethics collided on the first turn checking Bro's Little Gem, Sublime News, Yankee's Ethics, White Sox Ethics, Zipping Galon and severely checking Beckham.  Equilibrium raced wide in the front straight.  Zipping Galon checked off Beckham entering the back straight.  Beckham checked off White Sox Ethics on the fifth turn.

Sweet As Emm was slow to begin.

Flowing and Shoot To Miss collided soon after the start checking Shoot To Miss.  Shima Breeze and Flossing collided approaching the first turn.  Sweet As Emm checked off Shima Breeze on the first turn.  Flowing raced wide on the first turn checking Sweet As Emm and Flowing, Flowing stumbled as a result.  Shoot To Miss and Sweet As Emm collided on the second turn checking Shoot To Miss.  Often Imitated and Shima Breeze collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Post-race samples were taken from placegetters - Circle Of Dreams (1st), Flossing (2nd) and Shima Breeze (3rd).

Theo's Thunder and Hazelwood Fyler were quick to begin.  Garrido and Hunkapapa collided on the first turn checking Garrido.  Theo's Thunder and Hazelwood Flyer collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Hazelwood Flyer and Dyna Harpa.  Mimstar galloped on Hazelwood Flyer entering the back straight checking Hazelwood Flyer, Dyna Harpa and severely checking Mimstar and Sparky Nevellk.  Garrido checked off Uringa on the third turn.  

Oakvale Magic and Miss Splendamiro collided approaching the first turn.  Alberto crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Hasten Slowly, Oakvale Magic, Milky Jones and severely checking Poke The Bear and Why Not Ginger, Why Not Ginger stumbled and tailed off as a result.  Degani checked off Oakvale Magic approaching the second turn.  Poke The Bear and Milky Jones collided approaching the second turn checking both gryehounds.  Poke The Bear and Degani collided entering the back straight.  Oakvale Magic checked off Hasten Slowly entering the back straight.  Oakvale Magic and Poke The Bear collided on the third turn checking Poke The Bear.  Oakvale Magic and Poke The Bear  collided entering the home straight checking Oakvale Magic and Milky Jones.  Oakvale Magic and Milky Jones collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post. 

Why Not Ginger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left front and right hind, no stand down period was imposed.

Fire And Smoke and Sisco Ride collided on the first turn.  Wise Piquet and Hot Tip collided on the first turn checking Hot Tip.  Go Seek Fernando, Wise Ricciardo and Spectra Style collided on the first turn.  Wise Ricciardo checked off Spectra Style entering the front straight and stumbled checking Sisco Ride and Hot Tip.  Sisco Ride and Wise Ricciardo collided approaching the second turn.  Wise Ricciardo checked off Sisco Ride on the third turn.  Sisco Ride, Wise Ricciardo and Spectra Style collided entering the home straight. 

Winlock Dyno was quick to begin.

Shady Tex checked off Wharfies Girl on the first turn.  Wharfies Girl checked off Winlock Dyno on the third turn checking Winlock Dyno.  Winlock Dyno, Wharfies Girl and Shady Tex collided approaching the home turn.  Hightan and Striking Weetbix collided on the home turn.

Miss Heart and Fast Izzi were slow to begin.

Mister Heeney and Oronsay collided on the first turn.  Mister Heeney, Sisco Dun and Ohana Sparkles collided entering the front straight.  Fast Izzi checked off Sisco Dun on the second turn.  Miss Heart checked off Oronsay approaching the home turn.

Ohana Sparkles was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right deltoid soreness, and left and right wrist soreness. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Never Duplicated and Fleur Delacour collided approaching the first turn.  Small Rose raced wide on the first turn.  Our Didda checked off Angel Dash in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Angel Dash and Yogi Mikado collided on the third turn checking Angel Dash causing Angel Dash and Small Rose to collide, Angel Dash lost ground as a result.

Angel Dash was vetted following event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle, right saddle and right sartorius injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
