Stewards spoke to Ms R. Romyn, the trainer of Angry Trip regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Angry Trip last raced on 27 August 2018 and is returning after a change of kennel.

A pre-race sample was taken from Angry Trip.

Ebony Gem and Curt Lee were quick to begin.

Country Town and and Angry Trip collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Gin Lee's Dream and Pete's Kitchen collided soon after the start. Gin Lee's Dream checked off Aussie Bok Choy approaching the first turn checking Aussie Bok Choy. Bobby Cristalle crossed to the rail approaching the first turn. Gin Lee's Dream and Pete's Kitchen collided on the first turn checking Pete's Kitchen. Gin Lee's Dream and Aussie Bok Choy collided on the first turn. Gin Lee's Dream and Angry Trip collided approaching the second turn. Gin Lee's Dream checked off Angry Trip entering the back straight. 

Dr. Leonardo was a late scratching at 12.47pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration on the right hind foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Musketeer Oasis was slow to begin. 

Fast Izzi and Charlie Haze collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Musketeer Oasis raced wide approacing the third turn. South Of Eden and Sisco Dun collided approaching the home turn.

Musketeer Oasis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild soreness to the right wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pharoah's Gold was slow to begin.

Stevie Dee and Grande Fratello collided on the first turn checking Stevie Dee. Rapid Belle Noir faltered in the front straight and subsequently pulled up. Blue Fabianna and Grande Fratello collided on the second turn checking Blue Fabianna and causing Stevie Dee to race wide and become unblanced. Stevie Dee checked off Pharoah's Gold in the back straight. Goldenpaw Lad checked off Grande Fratello approaching the fourth turn. Blue Fabianna and Goldenpaw Lad collided approaching the home turn. Stevie Dee checked off Pharoah's Gold entering the home straight. 

Rapid Belle Noir was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Soda Flakes and Sale Graze Bindi were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn. Bro's Little Gem and Chill Out Julie collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, Chill Out Julie faltered and pulled up as a result, subsequently checking Soda Flakes. Pepper Shiraz raced wide approaching the second turn. 

Chill Out Julie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.  

Shima Breeze and Kraken Bam Bam collided soon after the start. Flowing and Time To Talk collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Bam Bam and Flowing collided on the first turn. Never Duplicated and Die Laughing collided entering the back straight. Kraken Bam Bam and Never Duplicated collided on the third turn checking Kraken Bam Bam and Die Laughing. Flowing checked off Circle Of Dreams entering the home straight.

Die laughing was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr J. Magri, the representative of Die Laughing regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

The successful greyhounds were, Valencia Gem, Often Imitated, Flossing, Sweet As Emm, Shoot To Miss and first reserve Grace Ali.
