Steward's Report
Ninetymile Donny and Brandeen Fi were slow to begin. Lightning Lil lost considerable ground approaching the first turn. Macs Road, Ninetymile Donny, Bush Song and Zipping Josette collided on the first turn checking Macs Road, Ninetymile Donny and Zipping Josette. Macs Road and Ninetymile Donny collided approaching the home turn severely checking Macs Road. Ninetymile Donny checked off Bush Song entering the home straight.
Lightning Lil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury and was found to have poor body condition, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. The on course veterinarian recommended that the trainer increase the greyhound’s body weight. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr W Read regarding the matter and the greyhound‘s performance this evening and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory Trial (all tracks) Pursuant to GAR 71 before any future nomination will be accepted.
