Steward's Report
Mr Steven Mc Donnell, trainer of Garna Bolt declared a new weight of 36.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Garna Bolt last raced at 34.8kg.
Sparkling Jewel, Blue Espearance and Joycee Rae collided approaching the first turn checking Blue Espearance. Garna Bolt faultered and lost ground entering the back straight. Tashendo faultered approaching the second turn and lost ground. Blue Espearance, Joycee Rae and Seabrook Gem collided on the second turn checking Joycee Rae and Seabrook Gem. Tashendo and Garna Bolt collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Lucas The Great, Tashendo and Garna Bolt raced wide in the home straight.
Dyna Ianto was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Tashendo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle and left triangle. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
Lucas The Great was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lost left hindpaw toenail. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S McDonnell, the trainer of the greyhound Garna Bolt regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the back straight. Garna Bolt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder, right hip joint and both wrists, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR75 Stewards directed Mr McDonnell to report to Stewards as soon as practicable anything that might have had a bearing on the running of the greyhound in this event.
