Chile Allen was quick to begin. Good Luck Mark and Varuchi Pass were slow to begin. Garick Olivander and Fleur Delacour collided approaching the first turn, checking Fleur Delacour. Garick Olivander raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Fleur Delacour and Tao Tao; causing Varuchi Pass to fall. Folding Green checked off Good Luck Mark entering the home straight.
Varuchi Pass which fell was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg wrist and lumbo-sacral injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
