Kraken Elroy was slow to begin. Go Go Guru was very slow to begin (3L).
Eight Bells Toll and Clovalley Rang collided soon after the start, checking Eight Bells Toll and Kraken Elroy. Clovalley Rang faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. Stacey Keeping and Go Go Guru collided on the home turn.
Clovalley Rang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
