Apache Bro was quick to begin. Cosmic Act and Cassius Monelli collided soon after the start. Cassius Monelli and Magic Vogue collided soon after the start. Cosmic Act and Cassius Monelli collided again soon after the start. Bomber's Baby and Take The Spot collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Take The Spot galloped on Magic Vogue on the first turn, severely checking Cosmic Act and Magic Vogue; and severely checking Take The Spot which fell.
Take The Spot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg triangle, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
