Steward's Report
Sneak Preview and Just Love were quick to begin. Gracioso, Ishmy Barry, Bella's Ghost and Stella View collided soon after the start checking Gracioso and Ishmy Barry. Bella's Ghost and Stella View collided approaching the first turn checking Stella View. Bella's Ghost and Hird From Bucks collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Stella View visibly eased on the first turn causing Gracioso to check off Stella View. Stella View visibly eased on the home turn.
Stella View underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Martinovic, the trainer regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stella View was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Martinovic pleaded guilty to the charge, Stella View must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
