A pre-race sample was taken from Khaleesi Girl.
Rocky Ravioli, Zipping Inglis and What Price were slow to begin. What Price and Zipping Inglis collided soon after the start. Zipping Inglis and Rocky Ravioli collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Rocky Ravioli. Sarah Smirnoff checked off I'm The Poppet on the first turn. What Price and Alta Linea collided on the first turn checking Alta Linea and Khaleesi Girl. I'm The Poppet checked off Jacqui Shoshone on the second turn. Rocky Ravioli checked off What Price entering the back straight. Sarah Smirnoff and What Price collided in the back straight. Sarah Smirnoff and Alta Linea collided in the back straight checking Alta Linea. Zipping Inglis and Jacqui Shoshone collided on the third turn. I'm The Poppet galloped on Jacqui Shoshone entering the home straight causing Jacqui Shoshone to collide with Zipping Inglis. Jacqui Shoshone and Zipping Inglis collided approaching the winning post.
Jacqui Shoshone was vetted following the Event. It was reported the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right triangle muscles. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Mr D Crawford, regarding the manner in which Jacqui Shoshone raced on the third turn. Stewards also spoke to Mr D Crawford regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post and took no further action.
