Steward's Report
All Consuming and Barcia Prince were quick to begin. Henrow Bale and Aston Asahi were slow to begin.
Racing Pulse and Go Twenty Two collided soon after the start. Go Twenty Two crossed out on the first turn checking Keeper Of Keys and severely checking Aston Asahi. All Consuming and Barcia Prince collided on the third turn checking Barcia Prince. Barcia Prince lost ground approaching the home turn.
Barcia Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mrs A. Langton the representative regarding the greyhound’s performance tonight. Mrs Langton stated that the greyhound was a very stressful dog and as a result of being drawn in a later race, contributed to the greyhound fading over the concluding stages of the event.
Aston Asahi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right deltoids, left and right trapezius and left sartorius injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
