Orson Allen was disappointing, was vetted following the event and re-vetted following Race 8. It was reported that no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke with kennel representative Mr. Joseph Briffa in regards to the disappointing performance of Orson Allen this afternoon. Orson Allen was backing up from a race in Brisbane on Thursday night, with a short turnaround time from racing interstate. After hearing submissions from Mr Briffa which included some minor buffeting through the first turn, the Stewards deemed the performace of Orson Allen unsatisfactory given the previous demonstrated natural ability of this greyhound. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (2) a veterinary certificate must be produced to the Stewards satisfaction, before any further nominations are accepted or any other races are competed in.

Supplementary Report: Trainer Correy Grenfell advised that Orson Allen will be presented to Geelong on Friday 5 July for a Veterinary Examination. Further, Orson Allen will have a short freshen-up from racing after this Bendigo Cup heat performance. 

Supplemantary Advice: Orson Allen was presented at Ballarat on 29 July 2019 for a veterinary clearance in accordance with GAR 71(2), after stewards deemed the performance of the greyhound unsatisfactory at Bendigo on 30 June, 2019. Orson Allen was passed fit to race.

Aston Kimetto faltered on the home turn, stumbled and lost considerable ground. Auggie and Aston Kimetto collided in the home straight.

Aston Kimetto underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

The track location where Aston Kimetto faltered around the home turn was inspected by Stewards. The track was found to be safe and no unusual or abnormal issues were observed.

Main One – Late scratching at 4:46pm (29/6/19) when Mr. R. Galea reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Kernel Panic, Fast Trapper and Jan's Star were quick to begin.

Karise Fusileer, Blistering Betty and Lorenza collided soon after the start. Lorenza  checked off Blistering Betty on the first turn. Jim's Hotel, Karise Fusileer, Blistering Betty and Jan's Star collided heavily approaching the home turn severely checking Karise Fusileer and Jan's Star causing Blistering Betty to fall as a result.

Blistering Betty underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right dew claw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Drought Breaker checked off the heels of Dyna Jenaya soon after the start. Seminole and Drought Breaker collided on the first turn. Architecture faded in the home straight.
