A pre-race sample was taken from Golden Fernanda.
Platelayer and Pop Do It were slow to begin.
Golden Fernanda, Kayda Knight, Zipping Navy and Blackpool Remi collided approaching the first turn checking Blackpool Remi and severely checking Kayda Knight. Zipping Navy and Platelayer collided on the home turn. Blackpool Remi and Yeran collided on the home turn.
Kayda Knight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. Kayda Knight was humanely euthanased.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Platelayer - the winner of the event.
