This meeting was deemed hot weather affected .At the commencement  of kennelling the outside temperature was 24 degrees. The kennel temperature was 18.5 degrees..

Mr D.Graham, trainer of Master Owen  declared a new weight of 30.6kg  for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Master Owen last raced at 29.2kg.

Master Owen and Cairnlea Abby collided soon after the start checking Master Owen. Kid Winslow, Saint Bunrer, Crackerjack Scot and Cairnlea Abby collided on the first turn. Crackerjack Scot checked off Cairnlea Abby approaching the home turn. Kid Winslow, Saint Burner, and Cairnlea Abby collided approaching the home turn checking Saint Burner. Kid Winslow checked off Cairnlea Abby in the home straight.

A warning for non-compliance of the GRV Dress Code (LR 22.3) was issued to Catcher Mrs Vicki McDonald for her footwear this evening.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Amor Vincit  and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 4.26pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms L.Courts was fined the sum of $100.

Foxzami Muzza, Buddy Goes Bang and Thomeli Monster were slow to begin.

Talanjee Chief and Black Kruger collided approaching the first turn checking Black Kruger, Blackpool Nugget, Super Blu and Buddy Goes Bang. Super Blu and Black Kruger collided on the first turn checking Thomeli Monster and Blackpool Nugget. Blackpool Nugget raced wide as a result. Black Kruger checked off Super Blu approaching the home turn. Black Kruger and Thomeli Monster collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr N.Lenehan, the trainer of Joshua Rocks regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Joshua Rocks  last raced on 28th October 2018. Mr Lenehan stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a cracked fibula.

Black Spring was slow to begin.

Spinning Jakit and Miss Brew collided soon after the start. Bob's Brew and Miss Sweet Pea collided on the first turn. Bob's Brew and Aston Atley collided on the first turn. Both Joshua Rocks and Miss Brew raced wide approaching the second turn. Bob's Brew raced wide in the back straight. Black Spring checked off the heels of Aston Atley approaching the home turn. Mossy Girl and Aston Atley collided on the home turn. Miss Brew raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Thomson, the trainer of Lonnie Mach regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lonnie Mach last raced on 14th November 2018. Mr Thomson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal. Mr Thomson  declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the Lonnie Mach in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lonnie Mach last raced at 30.1kg.

Dam The Man and Lektra Brandy were slow to begin.

Blackpool Floss and Stacey Keeping collided soon after the start. Dam The Man, Blackpool Floss and Stacey Keeping collided on the first turn checking Calfuray, Stacey Keeping and Lektra Brandy. Dam The Man and Lonnie Mach collided approaching the home turn. Calfuray and Lektra Brandy collided on the home turn and again in the home straight resulting in both greyhounds racing wide.

Dyna Hinkley and Summer Skye collided approaching the home turn. Taylor Bale and Summer Skye collided on the home turn. Dyna Hinkley and Spring Me raced wide in the home straight.

Why Not Cory and Desiree Dancer collided soon after the start. Desiree Dancer, Penny Worth and Sabjorn Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Penny Worth and Why Not Cory. Why Not Cory raced wide on the home turn.

Why Not Cory was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left flexor tendon, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

You Rippa Pippa and St.Pauli were quick to begin. She's Wicked was slow to begin.

One Brew and Fawn Illusion collided approaching the first turn. Fawn Illusion, Topaz Warrior and She's Wicked collided on the first turn. Fawn Illusion and Topaz Warrior collided on the first turn. One Brew and St. Pauli collided on the first turn checking She's Wicked. One Brew, Topaz Warrior and St. Pauli collided approaching the home turn checking Topaz Warrior, St. Pauli and She's Wicked. Upon retrieving Shady Buck from its kennel it was discovered that the greyhounds muzzle was partially wedged within its mouth. It was also noticed that there were slight abbrasions to the greyhounds left dewclaw. Shady Buck was then examined by the  Veterinary Surgeon and was cleared to race.

As a result this event started 3 minutes later than the advertised starting time.

Shady Buck and Winlock Intent collided soon after the start. Petey Baqui checked off the heels of Love Laughing on the home turn. Shady Buck raced wide in the home straight.
