Magic Octagon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind toe and bruising above the right hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dazzling Bling and Lektra Rainbow were quick to begin.  Gladiator was slow to begin.

Butch Regis and Vivatar collided soon after the start checking Vivatar.  Mepunga Frankie and Share The Love collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Frankie checked off Dazzling Bling on the first turn checking Vivatar.  Share The Love and Gladiator collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Steinbrenner checked off Lektra Rainbow approaching the second turn and collided with Dazzling Bling.  Share The Love and Gladiator collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Vivatar checked off Butch Regis on the third turn.  Dazzling Bling and Lektra Rainbow collided entering the home straight.  Mepunga Frankie and Lektra Rainbow collided approaching the winning post.

Waikiki Creek was a late scratching at 11:11am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr B. Forthergill was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr C. Kelly, the trainer of Tyche Onyx regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tyche Onyx last raced on 13 November 2018 and is returning from a left hock injury.

Mepunga Wonder crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Spandau Ballet, Spearhead and Lektra Fireball.   Lektra Fireball and Thistle Smoke collided approaching the first turn.  Thistle Smoke checked off Haunting on the first turn and again on the second turn.  Thistle Smoke checked off Haunting approaching the home turn checking Spearhead and severely checking Mepunga Wonder.  Thistle Smoke and Mepunga Wonder collided several times entering the home straight and, in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Orina Allen became partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Trainer Mr D. Burnett requested Lava You Beauty be vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury and an abrasion the left hind hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Holmes, the trainer of Yongning regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Yongning last raced on 12 September 2018 and is returning from a left wrist injury.
