Alcantara was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Glass the trainer of Alcantara, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Upon reviewing the available race footage Stewards took no further action.

Greg's Choice was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left radius/ulna fracture and was humanely euthanased.

Cool Rage was slow to begin. Bad Words, Hardaway Winnie and Aston Kah collided soon after the start. Cool Rage and Bad Words collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Jacki, Done Again and Aston Ledger collided on the first turn checking Aston Ledger and severely checking Kraken Jacki. Cool Rage and Aston Kah collided approaching the home turn. The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Bring The Spring and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 14:13 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer J. Robinson was fined the sum of $100.

John's Choice was quick to begin. John's Choice, Five Times Table and Moonquake collided on the first turn checking John's Choice. Mr Perfect and Seabrook Eb collided on the home turn. Five Times Table and Seabrook Eb collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke Mr. C. Arthur after the parade official reported that Mr. Arthur used a vapour cigarette in the stir-up yard. Stewards reviewed available CCTV footage and could not determine use of the vapour cigarette. Mr. Arthur admitted to having the vapour cigarette in his hand briefly but did not use it. Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Arthur and reminded him of the no smoking policy.
