Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Superior Pal, engaged in this event, on Saturday 9th February 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Superior Pal was slow to begin.
Takeel stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.
Spot On Mick, Takeel and Renshaw Avenue collided soon after the start checking Spot On Mick, Takeel, Renshaw Avenue and Keeping Gracie. Jargon Jimmy crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Keeping Gracie and Imperial Jack. Coalville Hunter faltered approaching the 150m mark and lost ground checking Spot On Mick. Jargon Jimmy and Imperial Jack collided several times from approaching the 50m mark to approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Jargon Jimmy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr B. Wellington, the trainer of Jargon Jimmy regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.
Coalville Hunter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
