Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, today’s meeting was deemed Heat Affected. The outside temperature when the kennels opened was 29.6 degrees, the inside kennel temperature was 18.3 degrees.
The outside temperature at race start time was 29.8 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 19.2 degrees.
Tigga Toy was quick to begin. Gotta Be There and Hardaway George collided soon after the start. Aston Torres and Too Easy Jack collided on the first turn. Knock Bott and Gotta Be There collided on the first turn checking Hardaway George which lost ground.
Hardaway George was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hip. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
