In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, today's meeting was deemed Heat Affected.  The outside temperature when the kennels opened was 34.4, the inside kennel temperature was 18.6.

The outside temperature at race start time was 35.4, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.8.

Star Reiko and Say Hi were slow to begin.  Golden Devil, Hot Finish, Dyna Bryleigh, Tessa Allen and Tommy Time collided soon after the start checking Say Hi and Dyna Bryleigh.  Dyna Bryleigh and Star Reiko collided on the first turn.  Golden Devil, Say Hi and Tessa Allen collided on the first turn checking Tessa Allen.  Star Reiko checked off Tessa Allen approaching the second turn and collided with Dyna Bryleigh.  Star Reiko checked off Dyna Bryleigh on the third turn.

Say Hi was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor skin abrasions to the left hind outside toe, no stand down penalty was imposed.

Icarus, Rocket Strike, Arcup Usain and Crook Me Kindly were slow to begin.  Rocky Ravioli, Dashing Dino and Rocket Strike collided soon after the start checking Rocket Strike and Dashing Dino.  Rocky Ravioli and Icarus collided approaching the first turn checking Icarus.  Rocket Strike and Arcup Usain collided on the first turn checking Rocket Strike and Icarus.

Miss Innings was quick to begin.  Quip Allen was slow to begin.  Miss Innings and Shima Breeze collided on the first turn.  Miss Innings, Mepunga Molly, Dyna Helena and Quip Allen collided approaching the second turn checking Dyna Helena and Quip Allen.  Quip Allen checked off Mepunga Molly entering the back straight checking Dyna Helena.  Quip Allen checked off Mepunga Molly in the back straight.

Sisco Dun was quick to begin.  It's A Wink and Celestial Jewel collided soon after the start checking Celestial Jewel.  Aston Atley and Blue Fabianna collided on the first turn checking Blue Fabianna.  Celestial Jewel checked off It's A Thrill on the first turn checking Black Spring.  Another Bling, Blue Fabianna and It's A Thrill collided on the first turn.  Celestial Jewel checked off Blue Fabianna on the second turn checking Black Spring.  Blue Fabianna and It's A Wink collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  Celestial Jewel checked off Blue Fabianna entering the back straight.

It's A Wink was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Bageera and All Inn Baz were slow to begin.  Lektra Caution checked off Southern Ripple soon after the start checking Bold.  Lektra Caution and Loch Tight collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Caution.  Crackerjack Daza checked off All Inn Baz approaching the first turn checking Loch Tight.  Hey Fernando and All Inn Baz collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Lektra Caution, Loch Tight and Crackerjack Daza collided on the first turn checking Lektra Caution and Loch Tight causing Lektra Caution to brush the running rail as a result.  Lektra Caution and Loch Tight collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Crackerjack Daza and All Inn Baz collided on the second turn checking Crackerjack Daza.  All Inn Baz checked off Bold on the home turn.

Cawbourne Swade and Fire And Smoke collided soon after the start.  Not Available crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Cawbourne Swade and Fire And Smoke.  Reiko Ablett checked off Belt Up Bubbs approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Bella and Belt Up Bubbs collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Bella and Reiko Ablett.  Fire And Smoke and Dyna Terror collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Cawbourne Swade and Not Available collided approaching the second turn checking Not Available.  Theo's Thunder and Belt Up Bubbs collided several times from approaching the second turn to entering the back straight checking Belt Up Bubbs.

Deliver was quick to begin.  Sweet As Emm and Cash Point were slow to begin.  Ace Allen, Sweet As Emm and Taken King collided on the first turn checking Ace Allen and Sweet As Emm.  Ace Allen checked off Taken King entering the front straight causing Ace Allen to race wide as a result.  Sweet As Emm brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.

Fat Rhino was slow to begin.  Dyna Oscar, Dyna Harpa and Striking Weetbix collided soon after the start.  Buck's Future checked off Vanishka soon after the start.  Dyna Oscar and Dyna Harpa collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Harpa.  Dyna Harpa checked off Striking Weetbix on the first turn.  Buck's Future checked off Vanishka approaching the second turn.  Vanishka checked off Buck's Future on the third turn.

Showgirl Queen was slow to begin.  Ah Sugar Sugar and Zelzer Allen collided soon after the start checking Zelzer Allen.  Lucille Dior and Whip Allen collided on the first turn.  Showgirl Queen and Counting Pennies collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Lucille Dior and Whip Allen collided in the home straight.

Orleans was slow to begin.  Ace Ventura, I'm Tipping Don, Cool Coco and Whoomph collided approaching the first turn.  Whoomph, Cool Coco and Orleans collided on the first turn checking Cool Coco and Orleans.  Ace Venture and Chill Out Webby collided on the first turn, severely checking Chill Out Webby.  Orleans checked off Whoomph approaching the home turn.  Chill Out Webby checked off I'm Tipping Don entering the back straight.   Ace Venture faltered on the home turn and tailed off.

Ace Ventura was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right tarsal fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Chill Out Webby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lacerated left hind foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
