Stewards spoke to Ms J. Brooks, the trainer of Rooey regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Rooey last raced on 14th October, 2018. Ms Brooks stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a spell.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Mullen, the representative of Superior Joyce regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Superior Joyce last raced on 11th September, 2018. Mr Mullen stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a seasonal spell.
Rooey was slow to begin.
Superior Joyce and Perfect Rider collided soon after the start. Hardy's Banjo checked off Undetectable approaching the 250m mark. Undetectable, Rhino Rex, Superior Joyce and Perfect Rider collided at the 200m mark checking Perfect Rider. Hardy's Banjo checked off Perfect Rider at the 150m mark.
