Stewards spoke to Mr K. Sweeney, the trainer of Blackjack's Back regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Blackjack's Back last raced on 9.9.18. Mr Sweeney stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right hock injury.
This event was rescheduled to start at 3.47pm.
Bugs Baloney and Hit 'N' Split collided soon after the start. Fabstar and Blackjack's Back collided soon after the start checking Alouette Jack. Blackjack's Back and Hit 'N' Split collided several times soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Blackjack's Back checked off Bugs Baloney at the 250m mark. Hit 'N' Split and Blackjack's Back collided several times from the 200m mark to the 100m mark checking Hit 'N' Split. Fabstar and Blackhawk Parker collided at the 200m mark. Mr. Diaz and Yenderra Blue collided at the 100m mark.
