Stewards spoke to Mr P.Clark, the trainer of El Donberto regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. El Donberto last raced on 2 April, 2018. Mr Clark stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being inexperienced and needing a spell. Mr. Clark also declared a new weight of 36.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). El Donberto last raced at 34.6kg.

Tat Chloe, El Donberto and Chill Out Isla collided soon after the start checking Tat Chloe and Chill Out Isla. Hollywood Donuts, Tat Ox and Kraken Pennys collided soon after the start checking Kraken Pennys. Cullquin Brienne, Tat Ox and Hollywood Donuts collided soon after the start checking Tat Ox. Chill Out Isla checked off Hollywood Donuts approaching the first turn checking Tat Ox and Kraken Pennys. El Donberto checked off Cullquin Brienne approaching the first turn. Tat Ox checked off Ellie Wires on the first turn. Ellie Wires contacted the rail on the first turn, lost ground and checked Tat Ox. Ellie Wires faltered approaching the winning post.

Ellie Wires was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left metatarsal and an abrasion to the right hind limb. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

Avatar Witch, Avoided Chaos, Bushman's Destiny and Banjo Fozz collided approaching the first turn checking Bushman's Destiny and checking Banjo Fozz which contacted the running rail. Avatar Witch, Mayor Goodway and Bombastic Trixie collided on the home turn checking Bombastic Trixie, Mayor Goodway and Avoided Chaos. Avoided Chaos and Serendipity Love raced wide on the home turn.

Banjo Fozz was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Batik Print was a late scratching at 2:05pm due to a triangle injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to the kennel representaive Ms B.Glen regarding the late scratching of the greyhound. Ms Glen stated that prior to scratching time this morning that she checked the greyhound and was fit to race. Prior to leaving for the race meeting the greyhound had sustained a triangle injury. Stewards noted Ms Glen explaination and took no further action.

Stewards spoke to Ms B.Kinder, the trainer of Zipping Spud regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping Spud last raced on 11 June, 2018. Ms Kinder stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a tail injury and new trainer.

Zipping Spud and Flying Joker were quick to begin. Mema Wibble contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Lightning Ben and Winlock Blue Boy, checking both greyhounds and severely checking Mema Wibble which fell, severely checking Scarlett Zulu.

Mema Wibble was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right forearm. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
