Steward's Report
It's A Thrill, Shanlyn George and Squishy Pea were quick to begin.
Start The Show and Musketeer Oasis collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Shanlyn George and Superior Bont collided on the second turn. Squishy Pea and Often Imitated collided entering the back straight checking Often Imitated. Start The Show crossed out on the home turn checking Musketeer Oasis. Reid Star marred Shanlyn Georgie entering the home straight.
Reid Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury and a laceration to the right front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Darmanin, the representative of the greyhound Reid Star regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Reid Star with marring. Mr Darmanin pleaded guilty to the charge, Reid Star was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
