Black Dash Three crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with Bushranger Boy, Queen Lita, Due to Burn and Melally Boy in turn severely checking Queen Lita. Jargon Jimmy crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Shelbourne Bezza. Due To Burn checked off Bushranger Boy at the 250m mark. Temps Lilo checked off Due To Burn at the 50m mark. Temps Lilo checked off Bushranger Boy approaching the winning post. Due To Burn and Jargon Jimmy collided approaching the winning post.

Temps Lilo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Queen Lita was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Summers, the trainer of Shelbourne Flyer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shelbourne Flyer last raced on 8th July 2018. Mr G. Summers stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a spelling period.

Stewards spoke to handler, Mr D. Dawson, representing trainer Mr J. Barbara, after the greyhound White Minion was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr D. Dawson was reminded of his responsibilities and when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.

Stewards spoke to HGA Kennel Supervisor - Mr R. Moles after the greyhound White Minion was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr R. Moles was issued with a warning and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Psycho Millie and Vandebay collided soon after the start. Psycho Millie and Vandebay collided approaching the 250m mark checking both. Superior Chase and Vee Bee Mate collided at the 150m mark. Miss Walt and Vee Bee Mate approaching the winning post checking Miss Walt.

Guevara was slow to begin.

Hashtag Spolly and Matesy's Girl collided soon after the start. Merl's Michu crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Matesy's Girl. Merl's Michu crossed to the outside approaching the 300m mark checking Matesy's Girl, High Tale and Minderoo. Merl's Michu, Hashtag Spolly and Matesy's Girl collided at the 100m mark checking Merl's Michu and Matesy's Girl. Hashtag Spolly and Merl's Michu collided approaching the 50m mark.

Hashtag Spolly was vetted following the event. It was reported the greyhound sustained a pencil muscle injury to the right hind leg and a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Superior Uno was a late scratching at 8:16am due to the greyhound being on season(GAR 24).

Toss And Turn was slow to begin.

Toss And Turn and Zipping Quinsee collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark checking Zipping Quinsee. Devil One and Mepunga Tycoon raced tight colliding on several occasions from the 50m mark and approaching the winning post. 

Rooey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Amlin Freddie and Mepunga Giant collided soon after the start. Mepunga Giant and Zipping Blaze collided approaching the 300m mark checking Zipping Blaze. Mepunga Giant and Zipping Mack collided approaching the 250m mark checking Mepunga Giant. Love Laughing and All You Got collided approaching the 150m mark. Love Laughing and All You Got collided approaching the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.

Sweet Strike checked off Striker Vardy at the 300m mark. Early Storm and Indira's Girl collided at the 250m mark checking Indira's Girl. Striker Vardy and Sweet Strike collided at the 200m mark. Bloke's Advice and Undetectable collided at the 100m mark. Bloke's Advice checked off Undetectable at the 50m mark.

Longshot Glory was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a back injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Uncatchable was slow to begin.

Keep Talking and Ryder Sir collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Hot Jean faltered approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Bugs Boloney - the winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Rhomboid - the second placegetter of the event.

Hot Jean was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left rear pad and an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Xan Mai and Eyes On You collided soon after the start. Tobias Kelton and Bourbon An Kahn collided soon after the start. Tamile Lass crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Bourbon An Kahn, Tobias Kelton, Eyes On You and Xan Mai. Cullquin Bomber checked off Black Mumbo at the 300m mark. Eyes On You checked off Bourbon An Kahn approaching the 250m mark. Bourbon An Kahn checked off Xan Mai at the 250m mark checking Eyes On You. Eyes On You and Tamile Lass collided approaching the 200m mark. Bourbon An Kahn and Tamile Lass collided several times at the 200m mark. Eyes On You and Black Mumbo collided at the 200m mark.

Eau Rouge and Johnnie Red were slow to begin.

Zipping Amber and Challis Annie collided soon after the start checking Johnnie Red. Eau Rouge and Zipping Amber collided soon after the start checking Eau Rouge.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Bocquet, the trainer of Heat Up regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Heat Up last raced on the 12th July 2018. Mr W. Bocquet stated that the greyhound is resuming racing following a left shoulder injury.

Doran's Grove and Superior Beam were slow to begin.

Manila Bala, Go Zippy Go, Zipping Megan and Heat Up collided approaching the 200m mark checking Go Zippy Go. Doran's Grove checked off Sweet Spud approaching the 150m mark checking Superior Beam.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Pell, the trainer of Subconscious regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Subconscious last raced on the 15th June 2018. Mr D. Pell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a spelling period.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Ryan, the trainer of Adala boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Adala boy last raced on the 29th May 2018.Adala boy stated that the greyhound is resuming racing following a left wrist injury.

Early Flight and Renegade were slow to begin.

Zero Five stumbled soon after the start. Subconscious and King Gibbo collided soon after the start. King Gibbo, Shakey Cougar and Renegade collided at the 250m mark. Subconscious and King Gibbo collided at the 200m mark checking King Gibbo. Early Flight and El Grand Richo collided at the 100m mark severely checking Early Flight. Early flight faltered at the 50m mark.

Early Flight was vetted and after being re-vetted following Race 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil muscle and the right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Run Maggie Run trialled over the 350m from box 1, weight 24.6kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.The time of the trial was 19.35, he ran 20.15 and the greyhound was beaten eleven and a half lengths. Run Maggie Run was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)/6 Month Trial - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Ward, the trainer of Jaso regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Jaso last raced on 17th July 2017. Mr K. Ward stated that the greyhound was returning from an injury to the left front wrist. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Jaso trialled over the 300m from box 5, weight 27.2kg in a field of 5. Jaso faltered and fell at the 150m mark and failed to finish. Jaso was subsequently vetted and it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist and bruising to the right hip and appeared to be cramped. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Jaso was Not Cleared .

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)/6 Month Trial - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Ward, the trainer of Alouette Jack regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Alouette Jack last raced on 18th March 2018. Mr K. Ward stated that the greyhound  was returning after an injury to the right back muscle. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Alouette Jack trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 35.7kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of five. The time of the trial was 17.02 the greyhound won by a head. Alouette Jack was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)/6 Month Trial - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Ward, the trainer of Dontron regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dontron last raced on 23rd March 2018. Mr K. Ward stated that the greyhound was returning after an injury to the  left front wrist. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dontron trialled over the 300m from box 3, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of five. The time of the trial was17.02, it ran 17.02 and was beaten by a head. Dontron was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)/6 Month Trial & Weight Trial - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Ward, the trainer of Coyote regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Coyote last raced on16th February 2018. Mr K. Ward stated that the greyhound is returning after a tail operation and an injury to the back muscle. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Coyote trialled over the 300m from box 7, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of five.The time of the trial was 17.02, and it ran 17.63, the greyhound was beaten by eight and three quarter lengths. Coyote was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Ward, the trainer of Still Just Under regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Still Just Under last raced on 24th November 2017. Mr K. Ward stated that the greyhound is returning after an injury to a right back muscle. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Still Just Under trialled over the 300m from box 8, weight 31.0kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of five. The time of the trial was17.02 and he ran 18.65, the greyhound was beaten by twenty four lengths. Still Just Under was Not Cleared. Mr K. Ward, trainer of Still Just Under declared a new weight of 31.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Still Just Under last raced at 32.6kg.
