Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Millett upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Coulson, the handler of Pat Malone regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pat Malone last raced on 5th June 2018. Mr. Coulson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from having a sesamoid injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Pat Malone.
Layback Cruiser stumbled at box rise. Husky Beatle was slow to begin. Millett and Pat Malone collided on the first turn severely checking Husky Beatle and Ronray Destiny and causing Troy Boyce and Pat Malone to fall. Proven Mystery clipped the heels of Millett approaching the home turn. Layback Cruiser and Husky Beatle collided in the home straight.
Layback Cruiser was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Pat Malone was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial scratches to the left hind limb. No stand down period was imposed.
Troy Boyce was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
